Modern Wagering Systems was founded in December 2012. Our first products went into live production before the Australian Spring Racing Carnival in 2014, and we have been growing steadily ever since.

Our software is used by some of Australia’s most innovative online wagering start-ups, established corporate bookmakers, and a major television broadcaster.

The brief is high performance, ease of use, and freedom from unnecessary features. We build the engine and the interfaces you need — and leave room for you to add the rest.

Bandwagon

Integrated wagering system

A complete bookmaking solution for operators starting out or modernising an existing book. Admin for liability and incoming bets, sales channels that can match almost any look and feel, and a fixed-odds engine suited to modern web apps on a wide range of devices.

Combined with Pricemaker it can host its own parimutuel pools. The design is modular: Oracle, PostgreSQL or MySQL out of the box, Redis for messaging and hot config, and REST with JSON or XML for feeds and third-party modules. No lock-in — you are free to customise front and back ends as requirements change.

Pricemaker

A new way of managing prices and bets

Combine pools of prices and bets to produce hybrid products, usually without code changes on the current system beyond feed support. Mix feed-derived and “best of the best” pricing daily. Existing market feeds, including BettorData, already work with it.

Pricemaker can turn an existing wagering system into a parimutuel totalisator, or run parallel pools beside a legacy tote to lift runner limits and add new exotic bet types. It is also the pricing half of a complete tote when paired with Bandwagon. Built in C++ for high-performance wagering.
