This is a long over due update on what we're up to at Modern Wagering Systems. I will cover our first parimutuel customer, new features that are now available and visiting the 2018 Asian Racing Conference next month in May.
GlobalTote went live on the 3rd of May last year and has since turned over around $100M Australian Dollars (or how I prefer to refer to it: a tenth of a billion give or take). Bandwagon has performed really well across three countries and a few jurisdictions simultaneously with multiple users and operators all working together 24/7. Early this year TopBetta Holdings, the company that owns the GlobalTote, bought a full license from us so they now manage their own system for GlobalTote entirely by themselves.
This is our sales model now. We install your system, get you up and running, train your operators and developers and then give you the code so you can row your own boat. This is by far the best way to sell a tote. The customer gets started quickly, gets their developers trained up, owns the software along their own destiny, while they are still backed by the company that effectively continues to improve their product for them.
Moving on to new features. We've improved our performance and reliability and Bandwagon is now running with a full complement of exotic Parimutuel bets, foreign exchange, consumption tax and 24/7 operation. We're proud of the work we've done here to make sure there are no single points of failure at all in the system while still being easy to integrate with and extend. All the mod cons like RabbitMQ messaging, clustered databases and automatic failover means you can run an international tote 24/7 with just a few people. More on all of this in future videos.
And lastly, we're starting our sales drive now and will begin in earnest by visiting the 2018 Asian Racing Conference in Seoul, South Korea from the 11th to 18th of May. We'll be there and keen to talk to everyone and anyone about what they're doing and how we can work together. I'll be slightly more formally dressed, but you should be able to easily recognise me after watching this video.
So, that's all for now. More updates to follow as we now have our flagship products proven in production and are keen to explain how they work and can be used. We'll be going into technical detail so it should be interesting for people who are interested in how a modern totalisator works, as well as how wagering can be used in traditional and new markets.
